GREAT CAPACITY': the 120mm travel and progressive geometry make the Epic 8 extremely capable on technical paths, very fast and efficient on the climb and incredibly responsive and responsive in acceleration. The torsional and lateral stiffness also guarantees perfect driving precision.
WHAT IMPACTS? : Compared to the previous model, the Epic 8 absorbs 12% more shock forces and vibration, so you’ll be less tired to use the energy to push the pedals.
RIDE DYNAMICS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team has developed a custom tuning for the Epic 8 shock absorber, whose features elevate the holistic driving experience. The specific calibration developed together with the lever ratios and the renewed kinematics improve the driving exponentially.
BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: Optimizing the kinematics of the Epic 8, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team has reduced by 20% the movement induced during pedaling while maintaining the active suspension for more effective shock management. So the rider is able to keep the pedaling position more efficient. The result is the most efficient biammortized we have ever achieved.
MORE WITH LESS: With the Epic 8 we didn’t add a single gram of weight to improve its characteristics. All models now feature SWAT 4.0 and an integrated steering stop to prevent damage to the frame in the event of slipping.
