Two decades ago, we created the Road Endurance category, demonstrating that ergonomics improves performance. Today, the Roubaix SL8 with the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is lighter, faster and more comfortable than any other racing bike. The road can be hellish under your tires, but riding the new Roubaix, it will be like being in heaven.

    VIBRATION ABSORPTION: The Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is the new star in the firmament, more adjustable and durable. Regardless of the riding position, each rider can take advantage of 20mm of travel, without friction, between the stem and the steering tube. Hands on the handlebars remain firm, ensuring smoother riding with more control to be faster, safer and more confident.
    The low clamp design exposes a larger portion of the seat post to increase its bending. The Pavé seat post 'controls' this movement for optimal absorption of vibrations in the vertical plane. These two things together form the 'Aftershock" technology, and in conjunction with the Roubaix’s rigid rear car, they create a smooth ride without compromising efficiency.
    The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable racing bike ever tested by our Ride Science Team - it reduces handlebar impacts by 53% compared to other bikes in this category. With the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge the wheel flies over the obstacle while the rider remains stable and keeps the trajectory on uneven ground. Normally, the fork flexes backwards on an impact, causing a loss of speed. It’s scientific, more comfortable means faster.
    ABILITY: The Roubaix was a pioneer of endurance geometry, giving you the feeling of riding 'inside' the bike, not 'on' the bike. So the pressure on your hands, shoulders and arms decreases, giving you ability and confidence on any road.

With tyre lights up to 38c/40mm this endurance road bike provides exceptional traction on rough roads or gravel. Thanks to the lightweight and efficient Specialized tyres, this larger section has no disadvantages.
The Roubaix makes you want to spend a long day in the saddle, so we thought to equip it with everything you could use for bike adventures - three bindings for bottle cages, attachment for the bag on the horizontal and predisposition for any fenders. You just have to leave!
PERFORMANCE: The new Roubaix SL8 is the most aerodynamic in its class, with new piping profiles generated by our Free Foil library and with lowered back covers. Using the Aethos project - the lightest industrial racing bike - we created the new frame that weighs only 825 grams, in carbon FACT 12r and 50 grams lighter than the previous one. No other bike in this category is faster or lighter than the new Roubaix.
