Pinarello Dogma XC
* Image mounting may differ from bike specifications
The Dogma XC chassis were initially developed in collaboration with INEOS Grenadiers riders Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who have already achieved huge bike successes, winning both world titles in 2023 along with a series of other triumphs. The duo will race on the Dogma XC at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
BOTTOM BRACKET AREA
This frame offers extreme rigidity in the rear triangle and the central movement, thanks to an oversized bearing and the pivot point for the rear triangle.
FLEX STAYS
Having only three fulcrums on the rear triangle generally inhibits the rear wheel’s stroke, but the unique bike geometry and integration of flex foils combine to allow for more direct ride. These innovations also help save weight, improve stiffness and provide a more direct feeling between rider and rear wheel.
SPLIT REAR TRIANGLE
The rear triangle is composed of two separate semi wagons mounted on a main pivot point using a unique design in which two pins are co-stamped together with the wagon.
This leads to the use of no additional connection points between the half-cables: allowing a shorter horizontal sheath length and offering better handling and reactivity, The elimination of critical areas of sludge build-up and the possibility to adopt wider tyres, offering cyclists a wider range of options.
KINEMATICS
The rear suspension kinematics takes into account the integration of flexible foils to maximise energy transfer during the ride, provide optimum compression/extension on technical descents and allow maximum control of the rider.
Friction at each pivot point has also been minimised by using a mixed bearing/bushing system. Bushings have been incorporated because they are strong enough to absorb the high impact and low rotational forces on them, while bearings have been integrated where the opposite forces apply (low impact/high rotation). This results in less energy wastage, greater reactivity of the rear train and longer system life.
The anti-rise and anti-squat values have also been studied to create a bike that excels both in the steepest climbs and in the most technical descents.
ADJUSTABLE TRAVEL
The possibility of moving the suspension connection point under the upper tube allows you to mount different rear shock absorbers, Adapting to a wide range of travel options and allowing cyclists to tailor their bike to the unique needs of each ride.
Cockpit
The handlebar is custom designed and fully integrated to reduce weight and provide greater precision of ride than a two-piece alternative. A fully integrated cable passage is also incorporated, as well as a specific bearing for the steering series equipped with an internal stop to prevent excessive rotation of the handlebar.
